Show Narrowly Escaped Death Andrew Scow was hauling lumber from the mountains last Saturday : on bobsleighs and while going down a small slope the doubletrees severed from the sleighs and the horses pulled Mr.. Scow off the load. He fell in front of the sleigh and both lc'jjs were run over by the first runner run-ner and the load stopped just as fie second runner got well onto his legs. It was necessary to pull the load off from the rear in oyJer to liberate him. There was two thousand feet of lumber on the road and the accident ac-cident was very painful. Mr. Scow was fortunate in escaping with only a few bad bruises, No bones were broken. |
