Show FOUR KILLED IN LABOR DAY RACES AT NASHVILLE, TENN. Car With Unlucky Number 13 Knock Down Fence and Others Following Plunge Into Wreckage. Nashvillefl Tenn. Death claimed a heavy toll in the Labor day auto races at the state fair grounds when four of the six high-powered cars entered en-tered in the tweuty-tive-mile free-for-all race were wrecked on the far side of the mile track in sight of the 5,000 spectators. Four of, the racing men were killed and three received minor injuries. Two of the cars with their drivers and mechanicians me-chanicians flashed through the tangled wreckage of broken cars and maimed bodies at a speed of sixty miles an hour, escaping injury. |
