Show Native of Salt Lake Dies at Phoenix, Ariz, Fred Hodges, 62, superintendent of the Nevada Consolidated Copper company plant at Hurley, New Mexico, ani a native of Salt Lake City, died Sunday in a Phoenix, Arizona hca.ttal of steptococcic infection in-fection which resulted frrj.n an automobile accident on April 12. The accident occurred near Phoenix Phoe-nix and injured also Mr. Hodges' uife, Rho is recovering in a hospital hospi-tal in the Arizona city. Mrs. Hodges Hod-ges is a former resident of Mount Pleasant and is a sister of Mrs. E. G. Mills Mrs. A. L. Peterson and Mrs. Sadie Allred of this city. Mr Hedges was born in Salt Lake City, Judy 1, 1876, a son of William Agustus and E.rj.r.a Hodges. His .auher was a pioneer western asay-ir. asay-ir. At t.e age of 25 he went to Alaska, and in 1920 to New Mexico .0 work for the Nevada Conssli-aated Conssli-aated company. Surviving are '.:,:s widow, Mrs. Ella Phipps Hodges; two sons, Frederick Fred-erick Clement Hodges of California .nd Gilbert Phipps Hodges of Hur-'ley; Hur-'ley; a brother, William Agustus Hodges cf Salt Lake City and five iisters, Mrs. R. M. La Fever, Miss Emma, Hodges, Mrs. E. J. Jeremy, Mrs. Perley A. Hill and Mrs. Louise H. Rae of Salt Lake City. |
