Show All Things Shall Be In Commotion C. V. Hansen The mightiest struggle for power this world has ever seen is surging about us today. Great nations are locked in deadly combat, fighting for their lives. Everything they posses of r money, effort, genius, and courage they are flinging unstintedly unstint-edly and with staggering extravagance, into the stupendous conflict. This is a gigantic battle of ideals, of principles, of ways of life. It is a struggle between democracy and autocracy, auto-cracy, between freedom and tyranny, between those who exalt ex-alt the individual above the state and those who exalt the state above the individual. Consequently the conflict has developed into a vast international civil war, leaping over : national bounderies and dividing formerly united people into opposing camps, with both sides trying not only to conquer j! the other by the sword bur, convert it by the most lavish and extensive propaganda. No wonder the utmost confusion prevails and divers opinions are heard on every hand. jj |
