DOUGLAS HOOPES Couple Honored At Reception Dainty refreshments were served ser-ved by Mary Atwood, Doris Crystal Cry-stal Eyvonne Rees, Elaine Hayden and Nina Hoopes under the direction dir-ection of hostesses Marjory Hold-away Hold-away and Lucile Hillman. A three tiered wedding cake was flanked by pink flower arrangements and white candles in crystal holders. Others assisting in arrangements were Elizabeth Newman at the guest book and Emily Pederson and Leone Told in the gift room. The young couple were wed Feb. 1, at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride will continue her studies at the Drigham Young University and the bridegroom, a former student at the Y, is now employed in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hoopes were honored in a recent wedding recepution at the Pleasant Grove First LDS ward chapel. The bride is the former Ann Nielsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Nielsen, and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hoopes are parents of the groom. The bride wore for her reception recep-tion a gown of white satin and lace, with long train. Her finger tip veil was caught to a graceful crown, and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and gardenias. Attendnig the bride were Maur-ine Maur-ine Pederson, maid of honor, Lois Combest, Audrey Baxter, Gala Hoopes, and Nelda Hoopes. All wore pink and carried Colonial bouquets of flowers. Flower girls were Marilyn Neilsen and Chloe-ann Chloe-ann Hoopes. James Hall acted as best man. During the evening, guests enjoyed en-joyed a program in the recreation recrea-tion hall and dancing was enjoyed en-joyed following this. |
