Show Mary Coulam Honored , On Birthday j ' . In observance of her 80th bii th- - day anniversary, Mrs. Mary A. Coulam was honored at a family dinner at her home on Friday Oct- j ober 10. V j Present from distant parts were ; f-" Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Coulam and J daughter Marie of Logan, Mr. and c- Mrs. Reed Coulam and daughters, W Georgia and Geraldine of Twin U Falls, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie A Coulam, daughter, Linda, and son V John Dale of Rupert, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. George Lim. Another son, Delbert of Los Angeles was unable to be present. Saturday morning Mrs. Coulam left with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Coulam Coul-am and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Coulam and family for a visit with relatives in Idaho. Mrs. Coulam was born in Lowes-taft, Lowes-taft, Suffolk County, England on October 10, 1867 and came to Utah as an LDS convert when 23 years of age. She married John C. Coulam Coul-am in the Salt Lake Temple on May, 24, 1893, and they are said to be the second couple in the Salt Lake LDS temple after its completion. com-pletion. They made their home in Salt Lake City for a short time and moved to this community more than 45 years ago. Mr. Coulam died about 6 years ago. Mrs. Coulam is the mother of 9 children, 5 of whom are living. They are, Joseph, Reed, Jesse and Delbert Coulam and Mrs. Vilo Lim. A noteworthy item about this beloved woman is the fact that she sang with the singing mothers chorus at the General Conference Con-ference in Salt Lake City one week before her 80th birthday. |
