Show Windsor Happenings m;i;iii:oks honor , I , iV SOIIMIKS A social was held Saturday evening at the home of Mi', ami Mr:;. Leslie liyland of Windsor on .Saturday evening, in honor of .Sterling; Johnson, who is enjoying enjoy-ing a furlough from the U. S. Navy with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson. A large gropu of relatives and friends were present and a very enjoyable enjoy-able evening, of games and tasty refreshments was passed. Mrs. O. A. Whitely and Mrs. Kldon Swenson entertained at the Swenson home on Wednesday Wednes-day evening in compliment to Leland Shoi'l who left Friday to enter the U. S. Navy. Games were played, social chat and refreshments enjoyed by a large group of relatives and friends including the honor guest and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Shoell, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Frandson, Mr. and Mrs. Lesle Kirk, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cra-gun Cra-gun Jr., Mrs. Alfred Harper, Mrs. William Ash, Jesse Ash, Mr. and Airs. Elwood Baxter, Mr. Ray Gillman and Harley Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Whitely and sons, Kay and Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Luke Cullimore, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Kclandcr and son Arvid, Mr. V. Willet and Mr. and Mrs. El-don El-don Swenson. At the Sunday evening church services in Windsor ward, honor was paid to Verl Jacobs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Jacobs, Leland Shoell, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Shoell, and Harold Prestwich, Prest-wich, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Prestwich, who are leaving Friday Fri-day to join the Armed Forces and For Orville Ostler, who is enjoying en-joying a furlough from his duties du-ties with the U. S. Coast Guard. Ray S. Merrill was the speaker and special music included two vocal solos by Maroni Jensen of Timpanogos ward, accompanied by Mrs. Melba Pyne. Mrs. Delilah Byland, Mrs. Em- ; ma Gillman and Mrs. Emily Long entertained a large number of relatives and friends at the By-land By-land home in honor of Harold Prestwich, who leaves Friday to receive his assignment in the U. S. Army. A very happy evening was spent in games, social chat and visiting, followed by tasty refreshments. |
