Show O ; Speaker Discusses Temple Marriage The M. I. A. conjoint program in the Third ward featured a talk by Dean Cobbley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cobbley of Lindon, who returned re-turned from a mission in the North Central states this spring. He emphasized em-phasized the necessity for temple marriages, and called attention to the fact that of the 750 churches in the world, the L. D. S. church is the only one that builds temples where temple marriages are performed. per-formed. He also listed the following follow-ing requirements which should be met before any church member is eligible to be married in the sacred house: adherence to the Word of Wisdom, payment of tithing, and a clean life. Other numbers on the program were a vocal solo by Vera Lee Hilton, Hil-ton, accompanied by Lucile Richins, and an accordion medley of familiar airs, played by Ruth Beck. |
