Show FORMER RESIDENT OF PLEASANT GROVE DIED IN DECLO, .IDAHO Edwin M. Anderson, 61 resident resi-dent of Cassia County, Idaho since 1911 died at his home in Declo, Idaho, on February 2Gth, following follow-ing a lingering illness. Born at Pleasant Grove, Utah, October 10, 1882 to Morituze Peter and Mary C. Nielson Anderson. His father died when he was 2 years old and his mother died in May, 1940. Mr. Anderson married Laura Thornton on April 6, 1904 at Pleasant Grove. The couple moved to View, Idaho Ida-ho in 1911 where they homestead-ed. homestead-ed. They movde to Declo 9 years ago. Mr. Anderson began work for the bureau of reclamation in 1913 as a ditchrider on View canals where he was employed until the time of his death. He was an active member of the L. D. S. church and of the Hurley Grange. He was master of the grange for two years. Surviving besides his wife includes in-cludes nine children Beldon M. and Dwayne of Declo; Edwin E. View, George, Calexico, California; Harold and F.ay of Burley, and Kenneth stationed with the armed forces at Nashvile, Tennesee. his rlauehlers, Mrs. Oleen P.agtrett, Buhl, and Mrs. Carlos Asher, v'iew f-nd one brother A. A. Anderson, Trovo, Utah survives. He is also survived by 26 grand children. Funeral services were held Mar. 1 at 2 P. M. in the Burley Tabernacle, Tab-ernacle, with Bishop Theron Jacobs Jac-obs of Declo officiaitng. Interment was in the Burley cemetery. |
