Show Waste Products Are To Be Gathered Waste products valuable for the war-effort are to be collected here May 15, it is announced by Mayor S. Duane Harper, who states that salvage sal-vage material should be placed on the street where a city truck may call for it. These victory products will be sold and the funds obtained will be used for purchasing beautification awards. The price being paid for old iron is $8.00 per ton; scrap iron, $12.00 per ton; dirty rags, including burlop bags, 50 cents per hundred pounds; , clean rags, those ordinarUy used for household purposes, $1.00 per hundred hun-dred pounds. Old rubber and waste aluminum are other valuable material ma-terial to be taken at this collection. Citizens are urged by Mayor Harper Harp-er to clean back lots and garages for next Friday, while these key-materials key-materials can be conveniently and properly disposed of. |
