Show WEDDING RECEPTION HONORS YOUNG ' NEWILYWEDS Complete in every detail was the wedding reception given Wednesday Wednes-day evening by President and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick, honoring their daughter Irene and Mack Oster-gaard, Oster-gaard, who were married earlier in the day in the Salt Lake Temple. The lovely affair took place in the Manila Ward recreation hall, which was tastefully decorated with baskets of (pink peonies, iris and orange blossoms. In the receiving line were the parents of both bride and groom; matron of honor, the brides sister, Mrs. Reed Walker, and bridesmaids, brides-maids, Louise Ostergaard, Hannah Beth Monson, Marcia Wadley, and Dora June Wfiitely. Judy Ann Wlarnick was flower girl, and Robert Rob-ert Ostergaard stood as best man for his brother. The charming bride wore a lovely gown of white crepe. Her full length veil, a family heirloom hung from a tiara of seed pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a bridal boquet of gardenias and red roses tied with streamers of white satin. The matron of honor wore blue. Miss Ostergaard was attired in ipink, Miss Monson, blue, Miss Wadley Wad-ley chose old rose and Miss Wlhitely turquoise. All carried boquets of sweetpeas and carnations. The little flower girl was clad in a dainty flowered print. Mrs. Wlarnick wore a long black gown with a corsage of gardenias and red roses. Mrs. Ostergaard ;chose pink with gar-i gar-i denias and pink roses. ' - Mrs. Arza Adams was hostess and A. P. Warnick was master of ceremonies. The program included a vocal solo, O Promise Me, by Loyle Bailey, Bail-ey, accompanied by Mrs. Bailey; a girl's chorus, consisting of Misses Joan Roundy, Jean Pulley, Doris Wladley and Myrna Monson, girls of the brides 4-H club sang Dreaming. Dream-ing. Toast to the bride, Miss Estelle Fen ton; vocal solo, I love You Truly, Mrs. E. Ray Brown, accompanied accom-panied 'by Mrs. Loyle-Bailey; Toast to the groom, George Paul; violin solo, Because, Mrs. Marilyn Wlright, accompanied by Mjs. Eloise Richards; Rich-ards; a vocal solo, Thine Alone, by Loyle Bailey, accompanied by Mrs. Bailey. The serving table in the . dinin.g room was covered with a lace cloth and centered with a 'Crystal bowl of red roses, flanked by pink tapers in crystal holders. Here, Mrs. J. H. Carstenson presided. She was assisted ass-isted by Mrs. A. P. Warnicn, Mrs. L. M. Atwood and Mrs. Wlarnick Swenson. Serving were Misses (Ganet Warnick, Joan Roundy, Gelene Ackerman, Doris Wadley. Jean Pulley, and Myrna Monson. 'Presiding over the wonderful gift display were Mrs. Orrin Baird, Leah Eldredge, Wilma Eidredge, and Martha Eldredge Receiving ' gifts at the door were Nancy Lou and Robert Warnick. ! Eldredge and Robert Wlarnick i served as ushers. I ; The young couple were married Wednesday morning to the Salt Lake LDS Temple, with Mark E. Peterson of the Council of the Twelve officiating. Accompanying them and witnessing witnes-sing the ceremony were parents of the-bride and groom, the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eldredge. Following the ceremony the bridal brid-al party and Mrs. Alvin Johnson enjoyed a bride's luncheon at the home of the brides uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Cartensen. |
