Show WITH" THE . SERVICE MEN Eugene Hilton of the U. S. Navy, arrived home on Feb. 12, from Tokyo Bay and is visiting his parents par-ents Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton, while his ship is in port at San Diego. He will leave by plane on March 11, to report back for duty. Joseph Hilton received his discharge dis-charge fram the U. S. Army on Feb. 21 at Ft. Douglas, aftei nearly three years service. He landed at Seatle, vVashington on Feb. 15, after many months in the' Pacific, where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hilton. Corporal Neils Sundquist has received his honorable discharge from the U. S. Marine Coijas, and is with his sister Mrs. Alfred Richins. Mr. Sundquist has served ser-ved in the Marine for three years, serving in the Pacific War Zone. James Simper. Pharmacist Mate 3-C. U. S. N. R. has returned to his base at the U. S.naval hospital after spending a leave with his parents, Mr. and Mi's. Thomas Simper. James has recently been made Master at Arms at theCorps School at the hospital. v. Ensign Eldon Rassmussen arriv- ed home Wednesday to spend a short leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Rassmussen and family. On Sunday Feb. 24, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronaurtical engineering at Purdue University in Indiana. On March 9, Ensign Rassmussen will report at Oakland California for further training. Ben Walker, U. S. Navy, is visiting with his mother Mrs. Josie G. Walker. Ben is enroute from Albuquerque. New Mexico to Great Lakes. Illinois, where he will report early in March. Ben was met at Albuquerque by a former school mate, John Hilton, who made the trip to New Mexico by auto to bring his pal home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Shoell had as guests last Sunday, Colonel and Mrs. Russell Maughan of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Burg-ener Burg-ener of Layton, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fisher and daughter Fern and Jennie of Heber. Colonel Moughan, who is at preesent stationed in Washington. D. C, is a veteran of World War 1 and won renown later by being the first man to span the United States by air. He served in 'the I European theatre in World War 2 in the A. A. F. as did his two sons, I PJussell Jr. and Weston. |
