Show With The Service Men Mr. and Mrs. Merrill X. Warnick have received word from their son Merrill Eldredge Warnick, that he has been enrolled as a cadet in the Army Air School at the University of Indiana at Bloomington. Tech. Sgt. Walter C. Baxter will return Monday to his duties at Camp Forrest, Tenn., after visitnig with his wife and infant son at Roosevelt, and with his mother Mrs. Belle Baxter of Pleasant Grove. Sergeant Benarr Smith returned to his station at Tonopah, Nevada, Sunday after visiting two weeks with relatives and friends here. It is a noteworthy fact that when he arrived here two weeks ago, he was Corporal Smith, but when he left he was Sergeant Smith, his promotion having reached him during dur-ing the time of his furlouh. FARRAGUT, IDAHO, Aug. 24 A new student in the Radiomen School at the U. S. Naval Training Train-ing School this week is Iowa Grant Hall, son of Grant Hall, Pleasant Grove, Utah, who has begun a 16-week 16-week intensive course in that specialty. spec-ialty. Shirlen Rodney Jarvis, 20, husband hus-band of Mrs. Oveda Lyle Jarvis, Rural Route No. 1, Pleasant Grove Utah, will soon be a member of the engine room force of one of the Navy's warships. At present he is attending the Naval Training school for machinist's mates on the campus of the University of Kansas. Kan-sas. There he will receive 16 weeks of instruction in the operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines. Upon graduation he will be eligible for nromotoion to a petty officer rating. Lee Lowder returned to Camp Forrest, Tennessee last week end, after visiting relatives here. Sergeant Wendell Gillman left for his duties at Camp Forrest, Tennessee, after a two weeks furlough fur-lough with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Gillman. LaMar Beveridge left here on Monday morning for Salt Lake City, where before noon he left for San Diego, California, to begin his basic trainingg with the U. S. Marines. Forrest Cullimore has satisfactorily satisfac-torily completed the first part of his aviation training att he 317th College Training deatachment at the Montana State University at Missoula. Completion of this course marks the attainment of the first goal in the training program , given all army air force pilots, navigators and bombardiers. Seaman Dean Jensen, returned Wednesday to his training at Far-ragut, Far-ragut, Idaho after enjoying two weeks here with relatives and friends. Dean who entered the U. S Navy in June, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Jensen. SEYMOUR JOHNSON FIELD, N. C. Pvt. First Class Dean L. Smith, son of Mrs. Genevieve Smith Robertson, Ogden, Utah, has been graduated from the aircraft mechanics' mech-anics' schol here in the Army Air Forces Training Command. At this North Carolina station in hte AAFTC he has spent four months learing and practicing all type of aircraft maintenance and repair. A graduate of a local high school, Pfc.
