'lne afternoon was spent in greeting old friends. and renewing old friendships. A beautiful large birthday cake held the center of attraction and dainty refreshments were served to all callers. ' A significant fact was that Mrs. Fage's children were all present. They are Mrs. Martha F. Johnson, of Orem; Mrs. Laura Fox and Miss Ruth Fage of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Delia Walker, Mrs. Bertha Ash, Mrs. Viola Morton and George Fage, all of this community. Other guests w-ho called included Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Thorne, Mrs. Eda Hardman, Mrs. Pari Rodebeck, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Hooley, Mrs. Rose B. Hayes, Mrs. Ella Tomlin-son, Tomlin-son, Mrs. Eva T Fage, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Benj. Walker Mrs. Rozilla Wadley Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. Herald Keetch and children, Mr and Mrs. Keith Johnson, and Lorna Johnson, Mr.- and Mrs. Cy- ral Walker, Mrs. ' Ruth K. Smith, Staff Sergeant Verland Ash, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hancock. Many relatives and friends who were unable to be present, made telephone calls to Mrs Fage, or sent lovely greeting cards amd gifts. Among those were nice lettehs from her nieces, Mrs. Aldrich of of Idaho and Mrs. Hattie Mitchel of Arizona. Mrs. Mary Slaugh Fage, was born in Philadelphia, Penn., a daughter of George and Mary Ivory Slaugh and came to Utah with Tier parents when a child. She married Frederick Fage 60 years ago and with him built their home in upper Lindon where she still resides. Her husband died many years ago, She is the mother of seven children, all of whom are living. |
