It was a very delightful picture, and we anticipate more like it in the near future. PARENTS DAY As usual the parents enjoyed the hospitality of the Pleasant Grove High School. The opinion expressed by the parents was that they appreciated the opportunity given them by a brief but interesting inter-esting time with the teachers. Before noon an open forum discussion dis-cussion was held under the direction direct-ion of Miss Fenton. Four main topics were presented: Compulsory Military" 'training. Russia, American Minorities, and Industrial Expansion Expan-sion of the West. The speakers were Eugene Bezzant. -rant Fugal. Eloise Richards and Irene Warnick. with James Everett acting as chairmman. At noon the parents were given a model school hot lunch, which adequately met their appetites. In the afternoon a general assembly was held in which the boy's glee club sang four numbers, an exhibition debate, by the debate club an interesting talk by Karl Banks, a short classroom picture, and elections for P. T. A. It was also announced that a class will be held every Monday at 8 o'clock for the next eight weeks on sewing and landscaping at the high school. |
