Show Central School Fair Is A Successful Event The large auditorium at the central school resembled a veritable fairy land and one might well imagine im-agine oneself to be Alice in Wonderland Won-derland as the door opened on the display which the chilren aided by the teachers and members of the P. T. A. had arranged. The great variety of exhibits showed much forethought and great effort. In the fruits were apples, plums, pairs, grapes, raspberries etc. all of the finest grade. Choice fall vegetables veg-etables included cabbage, carrots, squash, tomatoes, pumpkins, pep-ers, pep-ers, etc. Then there were rows of bottled fruits, and jellies. Delicions cakes pies, and cookies, and home candies, cand-ies, to tempt the palate of the most exacting. Hand work and handcraft. The unique doll display, dolls of all typos an colors, wearing only clothes made by the children and in the boys line airplane models of all sizes and designs. The whole east end of the large room was given over to the most beautiful of all the flower show fragrant roses, gorgeous dahlias, and gladiolas, long with the more modest, zinna, gentian cosmos, marigolds and other numentioned kinds. In the center was a wonderful bouquet contributed by Mrs. J. P. Fugal, to whom much credit is due for her wonderful support in all that she has done to stimulate and encourage love and culture of flowers. Mrs. Irwin Jensen and Mrs. Ray Beers also deserve recognition for their efforts in making the fair a -s'.T.vr-s. t.,5 ft',..i 0 school comes the word that Principal Rav 8. Merrill and Miss Betha Storrs have worked inceasingly on the nrojeefc. Places were too numerable to mention, but all contributors were made hanny as each exhibit received receiv-ed a ratine and ribbon. 1st blue; 2nd, red and 3rd white. 1 " |
