Mr. and Mrs. Ernest 'Clayton and family of Salt Lake City were Sunday guests of Mr. Clayton's mother Mrs. Stena Christensen. Irwin Jensen last week received a telegram from his nephew Don Jensen of Alaska, offering congratulations con-gratulations on the success of Mr. Jensen's new song, "This Lovely Land of Utah." Mrs. Lucile Jense Anderson and son Lynn left last week-end for San Diego, California, where they will visit their husband and father Wm. Anderson of the U. S. Marines. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Fugal entertained en-tertained Sunday at a family dinner din-ner in compliment to their son and daughter in law Sergeant and Mrs Lawrence D. Fugal of Jacksonville, Jack-sonville, Florida. Miss Erma Neves of Salt Lake City visited Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Neves. Miss Neves who is training at the L. D. S. Hospital, joined her brother Tfc. Leslie Neves in Salt Lake and came home with him to spend the day. Bishop and Mrs. C. R. Clark, anc; Mr. and Mrs, Ray Beers visited vis-ited Tuesday with Miss Elda Clark, at Fort Douglas, where she is engaged in secretarial work. Miss Clark is enjoying her work very much and on Monday evening-was evening-was pledged into the Nu Phi Mu sorority, at the Newhouse Hotel. Mrs. Ernest Jense observed her birthday anniversary on Monday. To help her celebrate the event a group of close friends spent the afternoon and enjoyed lunch , at her home- Guests included her sister Mrs. Lucille P. Maag of Springville, her mother Mrs. E.l. Ball, Mrs. Victor Barney, Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Dexter, Mrs. Margaret Anderson, And-erson, Mrs. Amelia Thompson, and Mrs. Janete Jackson. Major and Mrs. Roscoe Nelson and baby were guests Friday and Saturday of Mrs. Nelson's Aunt and Uncle Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Jensen. Major Nelson recently returned re-turned from the South Pacific war zone. On leaving here he will report for duty at San Diego, Calif. He is a native of American Fork, and is the son of the late Mrs. Mabel Nelson, former primary pri-mary supervisor of the Alpine school district. Mrs. Nelson before her marriage was Miss Joyce Rich of Logan. The Gleaner Girls of the Second Ward and their class leaders enjoyed en-joyed a jolly party on Friday evening eve-ning at the home of Miss Carol Clark. Table games were enjoyed n.nd a very fine lunch served. Present were Mrs. Mary Moyle, Class Leader, Miss Carol Clark, Miss Hazel Hardman, Mrs. Ila Johnson, Mrs. Lena Vicklund, Miss Marilyn Richards, Miss Jean Anderson, And-erson, Miss Zoe Adams, and Miss Joyce Clark. The G. B. Feav family enjoyed a family get-together in compliment compli-ment to Mr. and Mrs. Homer Royle at their home on Fridnv evening.
