Show PLEASANT GROVE PIONEER HONORED ON BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY Joseph H. Adams, one of Pleas-ann Pleas-ann Grove's r elderly citizens,, was pleasantly surprised on his 79th 1 birthday anniversary, on February 22nd, when his family brought a delicious lunch and spent the late I cfternoon and evening at his home visiting and recalling childhood memories. Those honoring their father were: Dr. and Mrs. Guy S. Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Robbing and daughter Betty, Mrs Roena Clark, Mr. and Mrs-Erroll Mrs-Erroll Robbins, George Adams, Miss Geneil Adams, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Adams, Mrs. Alleta Robinson Robin-son and baby, Mr. and Mrs. James Dexter, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Woo-fendin Woo-fendin and daughter Lela. Mr. Adams is one "of" Pleasant I Grove's oldest pioneers. He was born on the same lot on which he has spent 79 years. His father is said to have been one of the first men to settle in Pleasant Grove and he has watched the locality grow from a vast expanse of sagebrush to the thriving agricultural agricul-tural and industrial center it is today. to-day. Although beginning his 80th year, Mr. -Adams still get about; he does his own cookingg and housekeeping as well as shopping, etc. Tho hindered some by poor vision, he has a wonderful memory mem-ory of things past, and is keenly alert to what is going on in the world today. |
