Show Warnick-Wright Wedding Party j Given Friday j An : outstanding social event of I the past week was the wedding reception re-ception given by Mr. and Mrs. C ,L. Warnick in the Manila ward recreation rec-reation hall, Friday, September 8, in ; honor of the marriage of their daughter Miriam and Archie R. Wright, who were married in the Salt Lake temple earlier in the day. The marriage ceremony was performed per-formed by President Heber J. Grant. Mr. Wright is the son of Mis. ' Annie R. Wright of Lindon. Three hundred guests were jires- i ent during the evening. ! ! An artistic floral decoration of ' ; gladioli and fall flowers formed the ! ; background for the bridal party, i Baskets of gladioli and dahlias stood jin the halls and receiving room. The parents of the bride, Mrs. C. P. Warnick the bride's grandmother, and the moiher of the groom were in the receiving line. The bridal party included in addi-. tion to the bride and groom, Misss Angelyn Warnick, sister of the bride, maid of honor, Miss Norine Fox and Miss Emma Ludwigson bridesmaids; Lafayette Wright, brother of the groom, best man, and Dolores Nel-sen, Nel-sen, flower girl. The charming bride appeared in a lovely gown of ivory satin. She wore a delicate cap and veil of rose point lace and tulle, held in place . with I orange blossoms. She carried a shower boquet of Talisman roses ancl baby breath tied with apricot chiffon. chif-fon. Miss Warnick wore a pretty gown of apricot organdie, ruffle trimmed. Her bouquet was made up of blue sweet peas and fern tied with blue chiffon. Miss Fox and Miss Ludwigson Lud-wigson were attired in dainty creations crea-tions of baby biue and lemon yellow yel-low organdie respectively. They carried boquets of sweet peas and baby breath tied with maline. Little Lit-tle Miss Dolores was dressed in pink and carried pink sweet peas in a small green and gold basket. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Warnick and Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Warnick assisted in receiving at the door. Miss' Effie Warnick was in charge! of serving. The dining table was covered with a handsome lace cloth over gold. A crystal bowl of flowers ' formed the centerpiece, on either side of which were two princess j tapers in crystal and silver holders. Miss Dorothy Stewart presided in I the dining room. She was assisted, by Miss Elizabeth Romney, Miss La-; Preal Myers, Mrs. Nell Gourley, Miss ' Emily Wright, Miss Lucille Wadley, ! Miss Mildred Swenson, Mrs. Effie Adams and Mrs. Lurena Warnick. j In charge of the gift room were Miss Metta Ritchie and Mrs. Lillian' Swenson. I Dancing was the main entertain-! ment. During the evening the fol-1 i lowing vocal solos were given: 'Bendemer's Stream", "Love Came Calling, Miss Thelma Goodwin; I "Little Grey Home in the West", IMrs. Dulcie Francom; "The Valley of the Moon", Miss Maurine and Miss Beatrice Monson; "Smilin' Thru"", Miss Metta Ritchie. Miss Jennie Gleason and Miss LaPriel Goodwill and Mrs, Blanche Atkinson were the accompanists. A lovely feature of the evening was the Bridal Waltz, "I Love You Truly" danced by the bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. Wright will make their home in Lindon. i u |
