Show Miss Eva Marie Conway of the Junior class won first place by her splendid characterization of humorous monolouge "Ma's Monday Morning". Second place was won by Warren Kirk, by his clever interpretation in-terpretation of "Brotherly Love. Miss Phvllis Wadley, prominent dramatic art student won third place by her excellent redition of "Sic Transic Gloria". All contestants displayed unusual ability and talent. A number of interested patrons attended the contest. Miss Conway win receive the Jewel Linebaugh Berge award and will compete in' the Alpine District Interpretative Beading Contest. o Schools News The Girls' Athletic Association held elections Monday afternoon for 1933-34 officers. The results of the election follow: President Dorothy Williamson; Vicft-president Iola Jensen; Secretary -Treasurer Maxine Walker; Recording Secretary Secre-tary Suzanne Grua. Sports' managers and class managers man-agers will be appointed next fall. INTERPRETATION READING CONTEST HELD Ten dramatic art students vied for honors in the annual interpretative interpre-tative reading contest held last week at the Pleasant Grove High School. Eliminations were held Wednesday and Thursday, before thirty members of the Dramatic Art Club and judges. Six contestants remained in the race and were presented at regular student body, assembly Friday Fri-day morning. Mrs. G. Y. Anderson judged the preliminaries and Misses Fern Smoot, Orabee Cragun and Boyd Nelson of the B. Y. U. judged the finals. |
