Show p Dr. V. F. Houston Back from Eastern East-ern Trip Dr. V. F. Houston, who' was accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Houston, returned return-ed Tuesday from a three weeks' trip East where he attended a post-( graduate course at Philadelphia. He with five other Utah doctors and some 3,000 medical men of the nation na-tion spent ten days at Philadelphia attending the international clinic of surgeons. The best men from America, Amer-ica, France, Germany and England were present and the latest development develop-ment in surgery was demonstrated and discussed. Dr: Houston was highly pleased with the new ideas and advancement the profession has made in the past few years as given at the clinic and predicts that in the next ten that surgery will have completely changed from the present day methods. New discoveries of gland functions now being worked on will bring about the changes, he said. In addition to visiting the Jefferson Jeffer-son hospital in Philadelphia Dr. and Mrs. Houston spent several days at Washington, D. C. and Chicago and a few hours in each of the other larger cities enroute. . o |
