Show TO CLEAN LINOLEUM j 1 cup soap chips (less if powders pow-ders are used) 1 qt. hot water, 1 qt. hot milk, 1 cup gasoline. Dissolve Dis-solve soap chips in hot water, add hot milk then gas. When mixed, ' divide the quantity using part for washing and the second portion for rinsing. DO NOT rinse with water. Leave linoleum smooth and glossy as if waxed. This may be used to advantage for cleaning any painted surface. CLEANER FOR FINE VARNISHED OR POLISHED FINISHES 1 tablespoon good furniture pol- j ish, 1 pint hot water. Mix ingred-, ients; wring soft cloths from the . mixture and wash the surface of even the finest piano with the ma- j terial; follow by a good rubbing with a clean soft cloth. . Having j both water and polish in the makeup, make-up, this mixture removes sticky spots as well as greasy finger marks. One advantage is that a fine sur-face sur-face does not show finger marks ' again so readily as when full strength furniture polish is used. |
