Show Pleasant Grove Locals j Ike Wadley returned Sunday from a business trip to Pioche, Nevada. Cyril Walker made a trip to Vernal Ver-nal last week to visit with relatives. Brown and Mrs. Amy .Brown Lyman of Salt Lake City, visited Monday evening with their sister, Mrs. Rose B. Hayes. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Johnson were Sunday dinner guests. of Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Martell, at Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ferguson and baby of Edgemo.nt, were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Edgemont's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Greene. Mr. und Mrs. Fred C. Shoell returned re-turned Monday from a ten clays trip to Chicago and the World's fair. Mrs. H. Jenson and son, Alva, and Ver.n Cullimore and Paul Adam-son Adam-son report a very successful fishing trip to Strawberry lake during thej past week. Ike Hayes was chief cook, and under his direction a very fine caf-feteria caf-feteria luncheon was served. About thirty-five men enjoyed this yearly affair. Carl Wilde of Provo, has leased the Walnut Service Station. De-waynne De-waynne Adamson has been employed there the past summer. Mrs. Persha Nielson entertained Monday, September 17, in honor of the 8th birthday of her daughter, Bobby Jean. Twelve little guests enjoyed en-joyed games and refreshments. The Primary officers and teachers of the Third ward held an officers meeting Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Milton Adamson. After the Mr. and Mrs. John E. Nelson of Lyndyl, were guests Sunday of Mr. Nelson's mother, Mrs. Adeline Nelson, Nel-son, and her sister, Mrs. Leone Told. Mr. Jay Nelson, who has been working for the railroad in F. C. Shoell's place, returned home Tuesday Tues-day evening. The First ward will hold a banquet and Country Store, at the Tabernacle Taber-nacle tonight. All are invited to attend at-tend and help a good cause. Mr. and Mrs. J. Roland Jacobs moved to Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Matthews and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kemp motored to Mercur Sunday and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Olpin and sons, Roger and Owen, returned from Idaho Falls Monday. Mr. Olpin has sold his interest in the Allen Shoe System and will attend an embalm-er's embalm-er's school at St. Louis, Mo., the coming winter. During the past week the high. school registration has reached 214.1 i This enrollment is greater than last , year's registration. The students are divided as follows: Sophomores, 90; Juniors, 81, and Seniors, 43. Mrs. Amelia Burnham was called to Reno, Nevada, last week on ac-' ac-' count of the illness of her daughter, ipheobe, who was operated on Sept. 1 8th for appendicitis. Halliday will join the Union Pacific Old Timers I ' Mrs. Sadie Chandler has purchased purchas-ed the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Swenson and will move there with-'in with-'in the next month, Mr. and Mrs. Swenson will move to California for ; her husband's health, about the first of October. ' Miss Marie Williamson, who is a graduate nurse of the St. Marks hospital has spent the past two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris J. Williamson. She will 'return to Salt Lake Sunday where she will be employed. i ! Mr. Ernest Kimball of San Diego, ' California, was a visitor at the home of Mrs. Josephine Bezzant Saturday, September 15. He came to Utah to 'visit with his grandchildren, Donna nd Booth Kimball, whom he had !not seen for eleven years. The Second ward Genealogical committee held the first meeting of the season at the Second ward chapel Monday evening. At the close of the business meeting refreshments and social chat were enjoyed.
