Show PI. Grove News CELEBRATES GOLD EX WEDDING D.V Mr. and Mrs. George B. Ash o Lindon and their family celebrate their golden wedding anniversar Wednesday evening in a social an program at the Lindon hall wit more than 200 relatives and clos friends being present. George R. Ash, son of Josepl William and Eliza Richards Ash, wa born in W'andsworth, near Londor England, November 9, 1858. He emi grated to the United States in 186 and lived in Williamsburg, Ne York, until 1868, when he came t Utah by train as far as Wyomin; and by ox team to Salt Lake Citj There were 270 people in his com pany. He came directly to Pleasan Grove, March 14, 1871, and has liv ed in his Lindon home all of hi married life. He married Elizabetl Cullimore, October 24, 1884, in th Logan temple. He has served as i member of the school board, an justice of the peace. He has been aj active L. D. S. church worker all o his life, having served fourteen year as superintendent of the Sunda; School in the Lindon ward. Elizabeth Cullimore Ash, daughte of James and Clara Fowlke Culli more, was born in Lindon and ha lived there all of her life. She wa a teacher in the Relief Society fo: many years, a mother of twelvi children, ten of whom are grown anc married. . n |
