Show Prominent Woclgrower Passes Away Thomas Adamson, a well known stockman and woolgrower cf Tleas-ant Tleas-ant Grove passed away at 10 a. m. Saturday, February 1. Mr. Adamson was born in American Ameri-can Fork, Utah, February 26, 1861. At the age of eleven his parents, David and Elizabeth Adamson, moved mov-ed to Pleasant Grove, where they have since resided. He was married to Emily Ellen Bullock in the Logan Temple December Decem-ber 11, 1884. His good wife preceded preced-ed him to the great beyond November Novem-ber 4, 1906. He has struggled hard since then, but has succeeded admirably ad-mirably well in holding all his children child-ren together and helping all his sons get established in the business which he himself founded. Besides having taken an active part in stock and business circles he served in the city council and on various livestock grazing boards. He was a Seventy in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and maintained main-tained a strong faith in the church up to his dying day. His associates knew him to be a man of sterling character, honest and straight forward in all his business busi-ness dealings. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Ella Halliday, Hall-iday, James, John A., Mrs. Margaret Holdaway, and Mrs. Olive Jense all of Pleasant Grove. The following children also survive; Thomas Marian, Mar-ian, Mrs. Margaret Adams, Byron W.,. Dewey N., Paul A., and David A., all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Fern A. Walker, and Lloyd B. , both of American Amer-ican Fork, and Mrs. Rowena A. Doane of San Francisco, California. Twenty-three grandchildren also survive. sur-vive. Funeral services were held in the Timpanogos Stake Tabernacle Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at 1 p. m. with Bishop F. D. Atwood in charge. The Third Ward Quartette sang the opening selection, after .which the I invocation was offered by President W. W. Warnick. An instrumental duet by Wesley Jense and Prof. Earl A. Beck was the next number. The speakers were W. S. Chipman, Ezra F. Walker, S. L. Swenson and closing remarks by Bishop F. D. Atwood. At-wood. Other musical numbers consisted con-sisted of a vocal duet by May R. Walker and son, Jesse, a vocal solo by Prof. K. J. Bird of American Fork, and the closing song by the Third Ward Quartette. The benediction was pronounced by M. S. Christiansen. Christian-sen. Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, where the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by -H. E. Johnson. |
