Mary Alice was born in this city 1 March 27, 1923, and is survived by . her father and mother, a step-fath-;er, H. V. King, a sister, Mildred, and i two brothers, Jack and Lenard Earl, i all cf Salt Lake. i Funral services were held Wed-Inesday Wed-Inesday afternoon, commencing at 2 o'clock in the Fourth ward chapel , with Bishop Lot Robinson in ; charge. The sympathy of the friends and relatives of the be-i be-i reaved family was expressed in :he large attendance and in the lovely floral tributes. The speakers for the occasion were Leo T. Shelley, John M. Klein-man, Klein-man, and Bishop Robinson. The musical selections consisted of a j vocal solo, "Your Sweet Little Rose-1 bud," rendered by Leo T. Hansen, a vocal solo "The Childrsn's Friend," by Mrs. La Rue Morton; a trombone trom-bone solo, "Perfect Day" played by Glade Jorgenson, and a vocal duet, "Beautiful Home" sung by Misses Fern Robinson and Gwendolyn Richins. Mrs. Leo T. Hansen was accompanist. The opening prayer was offered by George L. Wood of Provo and the closing prayei by Leo T. Hansen. Han-sen. J The little one was laid to rest in the city cemetery where the prayer of dedication at the graveside grave-side was offered by her grandfather, grand-father, Jonathan F. Steggell. Small Child Buried Here The body of little Mary Alice Col-ton, Col-ton, 5, daughter of Gilbert Col ton and his former wife, Mrs. Mary Steggell Colton King, formerly of this city, was brought to this city Sunday from Salt Lake. The child ded Saturday at 6:15 p. m. of complications com-plications following an accident which occurred on October 9th. She was playing on the parking near her home and in running across the street, ran into the side of a moving mov-ing automobile driven by H. P. Jensen Jen-sen of Salt Lake. He rushed the injured in-jured child and her mother to the hospital where she was given treatment treat-ment for minor cuts and .bruises and taken to her home. Complications developed the following fol-lowing morning and she was again ' |
