Show Services Held Here For Infant Killed In Wreck Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1 p. - m. in the Second ward chapel for Peggy Ann Elton, three year old daughter of Calvin W. and Melpha Nelson Elton of Dividend, Di-vidend, who was instantly killed Friday evening when the car in which she and her parents were riding rid-ing overturned on the highway near Dividend. The Elton car was struck by a car driven by Rodney Olsen of Mam-! moth, who said he was blinded by' the sun and did not see the ether car in time to avoid the collision.' The child was sitting on her moth-j er's lap and was thrown from thej car. Mr. and Mi's. Elton received only minor injuries and the occupants occu-pants of the Olsen car were unin-j jured. j Miss Elton is the granddaughter ! of Niels Nelson of this -city. Surviving Sur-viving also are her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Farrell Reese, Los Angeles, and Gail Maurine, Billy, Jack, Beverly and Patricia Elton, all of Dividend. Mildred Chipman and Nina Halli-day Halli-day sang the opening selection at the services with a duet arrangement arrange-ment of "I Think When I Read That Sweet Story of Old," accompanied by iLvdia Oslen who was accompanist I for the services. Prayer was offer-led offer-led by Leonard S. Harrington, followed fol-lowed by a violin solo by Ann Clay-son. Clay-son. Remarks were made by Henry Heintz and Mrs. Elizabeth Buckwal-ter Buckwal-ter read a tribute written by President Presi-dent Stephen L. Chipman. Miss Barbara Tnatcher sang "Your Sweet Little Rosebud has left You." Bish-1 op Patten of Alberta spoke followed by remarks by Bishop Joseph Starrs who was in charge of the services. Miss Chipman and Miss Halliday sang "Cradle Song" and the benediction benedic-tion was pronounced by Thomas S. Priday. Interment was made in the American Amer-ican Fork City cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Bishop Storrs. n |
