Show Drunken Driver Charge Filed James Nelson of Lehi, and Harry Adamson of Highfend were arrested early Monday morning by J. J. Mercer following an automobile crash on the state highway near the Samuel F. Grant residence. Nelson was charged with driving while under the influence of liquor and Adamson was charged with liquor possession, a bottle having been found in the car. They appeared before City Justice Seastrand Monday Mon-day at 7 p. m. and pleaded guilty. Nelson was sentenced to thirty days in the county jail and Adamson Adam-son was fined $50.00 or 30 days in the county jail. The latter fine was partially suspended to $25.00 or 15 days in jail. Nelson was driving the Chevrolet sedan owned by Adamson and the j two young men had been at the Owl ! Inn for a sandwich. In driving away j from the stand Nelson cut diagon-j diagon-j ally across the highway and crashed Unto a car driven by A. W. Flygare of Springville. Adamson was asleep in the back seat of the car, it was said. With Mr. Flygare were his wife and another passenger from Provo. I Mrs. Flygare sustained a bruised j arm and knee and all were badly shaken up. Mr. Flygare escaped uninjured, un-injured, as did Adamson and Nelson. The damages to the Flygare car were estimated at $125 and the Adamwon car was damaged to the extent of $35.00. o |
