Show Home Economics Club Girls Entertain Enter-tain Mothers Tire Home Economic Club Day was held Wednesday, April 25, at the high school. The members were appropriately ap-propriately dressed in gaily colored aprons. In the morning the following program, pro-gram, in charge of Donna Gillman, was given: Songs by the group, reading, Beth Anderson; song, Beth DeCamp; stunt, Beth Freeman; reading, Maxine Walker; saxaphone solo, Erva Wright; dance, Anna Beth Larsen and Bunnie Thornton; piano selection, Elda Neves; cello duet, Dorothy Williamson and Eva Marie Conway; reading, Gcraldine Macfar-lane, Macfar-lane, and a solo by Azona Farr. In the afternoon the members were hostesses to the student body at a matinee dance, with Elizabeth Black-hurst Black-hurst in charge. The mothers of the club girls were guests of honor at a banquet in the evening. The following committee, Evalyn Jacobs, chairman prepared and served the banquet: Hazel Carlson, Iola Jensen, Suzzane Grua, Naomi Driggs, Ethel Fillmore, Erva Wright, Emily Wright and Edith Preston. The tables were attractively decorated dec-orated with white and yellow tulips and candles. Favors marked the place of each honored guest. Dorothy Williamson and Ruth Peterson were tin charge of the decorations. President Marval Newman introduced intro-duced the toastmistress, Eva Marie Conway. During the banquet a toast to the girls was given by Mrs. Conway and a toast to the mothers by Dorothy Williamson. After the banquet a program was given. rt |
