Show High School News Ninety-nine Junior High School girls and thirty-five Senior high school girls will participate in the annual district posture parade. The Senior high group will be led by Josephine Farr, flag bearer, and June Bunnell and Ruby Adams, banner bearers. Beth Drysdale will be flag bearer for the Junior high group with Helen Nelson and Louise Banks banner bearers. The following girls will participate partici-pate in Play Day at the district track and field meet at American Fork, Friday. April 20: Dorothy Harris, Har-ris, Carma Shoell, Jennie Hone, Dezzie Dez-zie Adams, Helen Harris, Wanda Harris. Madge Young. Alton Prcst-wich, Prcst-wich, Ruth Greene, Hazel Carlson, Katie Ash, Eunice Kooyman, Evelyn Eve-lyn Bezzant, Edna Christcnscn, Dora Oscar-son, and Nina White. Ten Senior girls from the physical phy-sical education department will be guests of the Women's Athletic association as-sociation at the University of Utah at a Play Day Saturday. The participants par-ticipants are: Jennie Biu-ch, Edna Christiansen, Nina White, Laura Swenson. Eva Marie Conway, Laura beth Blackhurst, Dora Oscarson, Eunice Kooyman, Katie Ash, Ruby Adams. A trial debate was held Tuesday in the speech class in preparation for the district debating contest. The state question for debate is: "Resolved, that the property valu-m'.on valu-m'.on upon which public utilities operating op-erating in Utah are allowed to earn a fair return should be their valuation valu-ation for tax purposes." The affirmative affir-mative team includes Wayne Johnson John-son and Charles Harris and the negative team, Ernest Grua and Dan Peterson. Both are expected to make a commendable record. The negative team took part in a trial debate with Murray high school's affirmative fcam Wednesday Wednes-day of last week. The Pleasant Grove high school music department made a good showing ,t the county music contest con-test held in Provo Saturday. The mixed quartet, comixsed of Charles Harris, Winifred Johnson. Beth Anderson, An-derson, and Eva Marie Conway, was rated as excellent by the judges. The girls trio Josephine Farr, Elda Neves, and Beth DeCamp, received the rating, excellent, both in the trio and individual solos. Elda Neves was given the superior rating rat-ing in he: piano solo as was the girls glee composed of 48 voioes. Alfred Al-fred Dexter's clarinet solo was rated good. The G. A. A. girls held a very enthusiastic en-thusiastic track meet last Friday. Points were awarded to the winners. The final results were as follows: High jump Eunice Kooyman, first; Katie A ash, second; Beth Anderson, third. Broad jump Naomi Driggs, first; Katie Ash, second; Laura Swenson. third. Baseball throw Eunice Kooyman, first; Wanda Bullock, Bul-lock, second; Hazel Carlson, third.
