S. hospital in Salt Lake City. According to last reports, she was improving very nicely. Mrs. Kenneth Brown, Mrs. J. L. Dunkley and Miss Margaret Dunkley motored to Salt Lake City Saturday, where they spent the day visiting i relatives. Mrs. E. Harry Parker, who is employed in Salt Lake City, visited the week-end here with relatives. Mrs. Maud Goodwin of Lehi, visited Wednesday in this city with her sister, Mrs. Joseph Payne. Mrs. Chris Jensen of Alberta, Canada, Cana-da, spent Monday visiting with Mrs. G. S. Richards and family. Mrs..C. B. Halliday of Elsinore, is here visiting her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Crookston. Mrs. George Smith of Pleasant Grove, spent several days this week at the home of Dr. and Mrs. G. S. Richards. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Steiner have moved into the Charles Kelly home in the Third ward, where they will make their future residence. Mrs. Ida Hang and Mrs. Harry Steele were dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Alex Gray in Pleasant Grove Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh J. Gerber of Spanish Fork, have moved into the First ward, where they will make their home for the future. Mrs. Shelley and son and Mrs. Walker visited with Mrs. James Bowden during the day, while Mr. Shelley and Mr. Durrant attended to city business. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Crookston attended at-tended the competitive Pep Vodie at the Brigham Young university Thursday Thurs-day evening. Their daughter, Lenore Crookston, who is a student at the Young institution, took part in the Vodie and also composed the theme music for the Nautilus Social unit. Miss Crookston is an active member of this unit. The Bee Orchis Ladies were delightfully de-lightfully entertained last Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. G. A. Anderson. Mr. Alvin Woolschleger, instructor of the violin, furnished musical entertainment accompanied by Mrs. Harold Christensen of Lehi. A delicious two course luncheon was served early in the evening to sixteen including the following special guests, Mrs. Leslie Kirk, Mrs. Hans Christensen and Mrs. Elwyn Wride. Neighbors and relatives of Mrs. G. S. Richards gave her a very pleasant surprise Monday evening, the occasion occa-sion being her birthday. Mrs. Bernard Christensen, who is ill at her home, is reported to be slowly improving. Mrs. Everic Bronson of Salt Lake City, visited this week with Miss Ruby Armstrong and other relatives. Miss Eileen Chipman, who is attending at-tending the U. of U. at Salt Lake, spent the week-end visiting her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Ruben Chipman. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Pool and daughters of Milford, were Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Pool's mother, Mrs. Sarah Chipman. Mrs. Berniece Adams, Mrs. Rebecca Vance and Mrs. Louella Greenwood were employed at the American Fork Co-op. this week, during the big Managers Man-agers Sale. The Beethoven Club members were entertained last Thursday evening at the home of Miss Loraine Boley. A musical program was enjoyed, after which a dainty luncheon was served. There were sixteen present. Mrs. William! Roberts underwent a serious operation at the L. D. S. hospital hos-pital in Salt Lake City Tuesday. She was getting along as well as could be expected from last reports on her condition, Mrs. Jennie Tanner and daughter, Faye, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cheever Cheev-er attended the funeral of their nephew, LaVerl Anderson, In the Sharon ward chapel Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Martha Roberts has been confined con-fined to her bed for the past two weeks with a serious illness. According Ac-cording to last reports, she is recuperating recup-erating nicely. Her daughter and son and wife. Cal Kelly and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Roberts, who came from their homos in California to be with her, returned during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Coddington and Bishop and Mrs. T"t Robinson motored to Payson Tuesday, where they visited Mrs. R. II. Bassett, who is at the Tayson hospital recuperating recuperat-ing from Injuries received in a recent J automobile accident. It is reported, that Mrs. Ba??tt's condition is very serious, but is getting along very nicely. Mrs. Vera Chipman and baby, Dorothy, Doro-thy, visited a few days this week in Payson with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Meech-am. Meech-am. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Myers and Miss Helen Myers of Salt Lake City, were visitors last Friday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Myers. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Singleton and Isaac Robinson of Gandy, Millard county, arrived Tuesday for an indefinite in-definite stay. They were called here on account of the illness of Thomas Singleton. The American Orchestra furnished the music at a farewell and homo-coming homo-coming party in the Vineyard ward Amusement Hall Tuesday evening.
