Show The Merry Makers met Friday at the home of Mrs. Charlotte Feather-stone. Feather-stone. There were- ten members present, also Fern Larsen, Jean Ro-ney Ro-ney and Eva Featherstone as special guests. A merry afternoon was enjoyed. en-joyed. Mrs. Alice Crookston and Mrs. Hannah Aydelotte were hostesses to the Ladies Literary and the Junior Literary clubs at the Kosy club rooms Wednesday afternoon. After the club business was completed the Junior Literary club gave a very interesting in-teresting program. Mrs. William Chipman gave a report of the meetings meet-ings of the Utah Federation of Wo-1 men's clubs held last week in Cedar City. Mrs. Chipman is the past president of this district of federated federat-ed clubs. A vocal duet was given by Mrs. Leah Green and Mrs. Cleone Cleg-horn Cleg-horn accompanied by Mrs. Helen Singleton. Mrs. Violet Peters gave a reading and the Cunningham sisters trio gave a vocal number. Mrs. Maud Chegwidden of Murray, talked on gardening, giving some very instructive in-structive 'and interesting ideas on that art. Miss Newman, in behalf of the English department of the high school, expressed her appreciation apprecia-tion to the club for the story writing contest it has just sponsored and gave a few of the many benefits derived de-rived from this work. . r-0 |
