Show u DRAPER DEFEATS PLEASANT GROVE Draper took a nice ball game from Pleasant Grove Wednesday afternoon after-noon by a score of 3-2, eleven innings inn-ings being necessary. Russell Jacobs started in the box for Pleasant Grove and retired after six innings with a sore arm. The score was 1 to 0 for Draper at this point of the game. Richards took up the pitching pitch-ing duties at this time and retired the Draper boys regularly. Pleasant Grove tied the score in the ninth innings and it took two extra innings to decide the winners. Draper scored twice in the 11th and Pleasant Grove came back with one run. It was anyones game until I the last man was put out. Hayes was the heavy hitter for Pleasant . Grove with three hits and he scored i both runs. Lineman, Ralph Day and i Harrison did some good stick work for the winners. Leland Christiansen Christian-sen played a nice fielding game, . starting two double plays. I All in all it was a great game and j ! Pleasant Grove looked mighty goodi I for the first time in full lineup j action. j There will be another baseball game today, with Sandy. |
