Show u Deep Sea Prom Delights Everyone Mingling with fishes of every dis-cription dis-cription and color, Neptune, mermaids and delicate shades of light, the guests of the annual Junior Prom spent a delightful time Friday evening, even-ing, March 8, in the New Gymnasium. The hall was decorated to illustrate the under sea life. Curtains of blue and green, giving the sea color, were draped down the wall with fish of every discription and color artistically artistical-ly -arrainged upon them. The center piece was an old sunken ship with looking glass reflecting the fish and bringing out their real beauty. The ceiling was beautifully decorated in yellow and orange paper covered with small sea animals and insects representing repre-senting sea life and vegetation. The stand was delightfully decorated to represent the deck of a ship with the orchestra as the crew. The lovely display of evening gowns and suits harmonized with the beautiful decorations. Approximately 450 were present at the affair. Professor Eastman of the Biigham Young University had charge of the decorations and therein lay the foundation foun-dation of the Prom's success. Miss Melva Boyle, faculty advisor, did splendid work in securing the decorations, orchestra and favors. As Prom Mistress, Miss Reva Roberts did fine work in the line of giving suggestions sug-gestions and helping in the general work at hand. The Juniors this year tried to make the Prom a truly gorgeour affair. .They did away with the programs for the purpose of making it a more social dance. Neither was a promenade staged. stag-ed. Even though a few ideas were dropped and a few added it was the most successful Junior Promenade that has been staged in our community communi-ty for many years. |
