Show J Wife of Miller Called Suddenly By Death Mrs. Augusta Zinter Parduhn, 74, wife of A. F. Parduhn, owner of the Star Flour Mills of this city, died at the family residence here at 2 a. m. Saturday. Mrs. Parduhn wras ill but a few days of pleurisy. The deceased was born March 7, 1860, near Hamburg, Germany, a daughter of Michael and Gustena Resta. She marrieed Mr. Parduhn in 1881 and that same year they immigrated to America settling in northern Minnesota where they resided re-sided until 1306 when they moved to Ogden. Five years later the Parduhns moved to South Jordan and in 1919 moved to Pleasant Grove. In 1931 Mr. Parduhn purchased and took over the managership of the Star Mills and they moved to this city. Mrs. Parduhn was a quiet, unassuming un-assuming women, who participated but little in public affairs. She was, however, a devoted wife and mother and endeared herself to those with whom she came in contact. Surviving are her husband, five sons, Fred W. of Cedar Bend, Minnesota; Min-nesota; Henry, Ernest and Herman of American Fork and Theodore of Sandy; two daughters, Mrs. A. J. Comstock of Rosau, Minnesota, and Mrs. O. W. Christensen of Burbank, California, also a brother Fred Zinter Zin-ter of Ellendale, M. D. and a sister, Mrs. Fred Thun of Parkers Prairie, Minn. Funeral services were held Monday Mon-day afternoon at 3 o'clock hi the Fourth ward chapel with Bishop Lot Robinson in charge. There was a splendid attendance and a profusion of flowers bespeaking the high esteem in which the deceased and the family are held. The services opened with a vocal trio comprised of. Mesdames Reva W. Fugal, La Von Jensen and Martha Mar-tha Jones of Pleasant Grove singing "Prayer Perfect". Mrs. Jensen was accompanist. The opening prayer was offered by Bishop B. H. Beck-stead Beck-stead of. the South Jordan ward. The speakers, each of whom testified testi-fied to the many sterling qualities of character the deceased possessed wej-e W. W. Lim of the Pleasant Grove Third ward bishopric; Mrs. A. E Cooper, Pleasant Grove, Earl S. Greenwood of the Alpine stake presidency presi-dency and Bishop Lot Robinson. The remarks of Mr. Lim were followed fol-lowed by a vocal solo, "That's What God Made Mothers For" sung by-Bay by-Bay Shelley accompanied by Mrs. Mary Humphries. Mrs. Leland Clark of Pleasant Grove, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Jensen played a violin vio-lin solo "The Rosary" following Mrs. Coopers remarks. The last musical selection was rendered by the ladies trio and was "In The Time of Roses". The benediction was pronounced by John M. Kleinman. The remains were taken to South Jordan for burial and the grave in the cemetery there was dedicated by William M. Holt of South Jordan. |
