Show Thieves Enter C. R. Clark's Store Thieves entered the mercantile store of C. R. Clark Sunday evening, through the back window. The bolt on the back door was removed and a truck backed up to the door. Thirteen 100 pound bags of sugar, a case of canned milk, 2 cases of tuna fish, 11 cases of oranges, a number of pairs of silk hose, 2 dozen pair of work hose, overalls, corduroys, cordu-roys, shoes, canned goods and other articles were taken. It is estimated that more than $200.00 worth of merchandise was stolen. There is no clue to the thieves. Gloves were used in taking tak-ing the strips from the window and on the entire job so that not even fingerprints were left to disclose the guilty parties. The burgarly must have occurred before the rain storm as no tracks were left. It is thought that there must have been at least two persons, per-sons, one to watch and one to do the pilfering. |
