Mr. and Mrs. DeGrande Gudmund-sen Gudmund-sen of Payson, visited Saturday and Sunday in this city with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Abe Gudmundsen. J. B. Parker and Clyde Crookston were among those from this city who saw the basketball game- between be-tween the Brigham Young university and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City last Friday evening. Dr. James M. Grant gave a lecture on '-Proper Posture" in Lehi Wednesday Wednes-day morning to the Physical Education Educa-tion class of Boss Nielsen. There were approximately fifty members of the class who enjoyed the talk. A series bf daily debates were conducted this week at the local high school in the Socialogy class under the supervision of Hyrum Berrett, class instructor. The debates were on various social problems and were given by members of the class. Misses Doris Cunningham and Mil dred Dunkley attended a Lambda Tau Valentine party in Provo Monday evening given by Miss Katherine Taylor and Miss Pearl Dahle at the Dahle home. Harold Firmage, who is attending the University of Utah, spent the week-end here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Firmage. Scott Christ-ensen Christ-ensen of Salt Lake City, also attending attend-ing the 'U', was the guest of Mr. Firm-age Firm-age during that time. Miss Lenore Crookston assisted in furnishing musical entertainment in Provo at the residence of Mrs. J. Karl Beck last Wednesday evening, when the Ladies Literary club was entertained in open session. The selections were in the form of string quartet numbers. Other participat- ing in the ensemble were Miss Wanda Wan-da Petty, Miss Joy Bachelor and Miss Verda Bachelor. Mrs. Wayne Hansen and baby of Bingham Canyon, visited last Thursday Thurs-day until Monday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jjogsdon. Sunday Mrs. Hansen and baby in company with Mrs. Peter Logsdon and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith and daughter, Helen, motored to Provo, where they visited Mrs. John Buckwalter and new baby girl at the Crane Maternity Home. Mrs. Buckwalter was formerly former-ly Miss Florence Logsdon. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Firmage, Mayor 1 and Mrs. Roy Greenwood and family, j Mr. and Mrs. Harry Steele and family and Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Chip-man Chip-man attended a special preview ot I the Pioneer Film Corporation picture pic-ture "All Faces Turn West," formerly former-ly "The Exodus," at the Paramount Theatre in Salt Lake City Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. A large number num-ber of local people were used in filming this picture, which was practically prac-tically all made in Utah. |
