Chairman Lim of the waterworks reported tijt Mr. Simpson of the Waterworks Equipment Co. had met with the i Waterworks Committee, and had af'eed to compete with all other bids or the furnishing of cast iron pipe r the replacement work, stating alaj that the credit due the city from he purchase of pipe last year, woulj be allowed, based on the amount of sight inch pipe purchased this year. It was recommended that the council rejct all bids previously submitted, sub-mitted, an that the order for cast iron pipe b given to the Waterworks Equipment Co. on basis of figures submitted their agent. The city acceplJ the proffer of the Power Coiany and agree to withdraw with-draw from he sale contract provided they carry:Out their plan of doing away withpie sub-station, and pay all expense incurred by city in arranging ar-ranging foi transfer of the property. o A special session of the City Council Coun-cil was called February 9th at 7:30 p. ni. for the purpose of letting the contract for the furnishing of cast iron pipe for this year's replacment work, and to hear the report of the committe appointed to investigate the number of acres of calss "A" and class "B" stock in the West Meadow right. In making report of the committee meeting held Monday evening Feb. 4th, Chairman Dickerson stated that their investigation showed 570 and acres of Class A stock, 7 acres of which could not be transferred for canyon water, 674 acrs of Class "B" stock that was entitled to ' drainage rights only, and 7 acres of the West Meadow water that was not yet classified. Mr. Dickerson stated that he would, be in favor of turning the distribution of the irrigation water over to the incorporation provided pro-vided arrangements could be made for the incorporation to also handle that portion of the water not signed in the incorporation. L. M. Atwood, chairman of the Irrigation Board, reported to the Council, that 2337 acres (more than 68) of the primary stock had been signed in the incorporation, 158 acres of East Meadow and 230 acres of West Meadow had also been signed sign-ed over. Mr. Atwood expressed himself him-self as being in favor of handling the city's portion of the water on the same basis as that in the incorporation. incorpor-ation. After considerable discussion of the matter the following resolution was adopted by the Council : "Whereas: Pleasant Grove City is a Corporation, existing by virtue of a charter, in accordance with the laws of Utah, uud Whereas: This city has been acting act-ing as agent for the Pleasant Grove Irrigation System, for the purpose of distributing water, maintaining ditch-. ditch-. es, and collecting taxes for this service ser-vice rendered, and Whereas: Some of the stockholders in the Pleasant Grove Irrigation Sy.s-tem Sy.s-tem have formed a Corporation, known as: the Pleasant Grvoe Irrigation Irri-gation Co. Therefore be it Resolved: That the Pleasant Grove 'City Council, acting as Agent for the Pleasant Grove Irrigation System, meeting in special session, February 9, do hereby transfer its rights and obligations, as such Agent to the Pleasant Grove Irrigation Company, to the extent of those shares of stock, now signed to the Articles of Incorporation, In-corporation, Provided; that individuals individ-uals owning the shars of stock above mentioned, have paid all claims upon it, (taxes or heatgate fees or both) made by Pleasant Grove City as the agent for the Pleasant Grove Irrigation Irri-gation System.
