office of price administration announced under the terms of the emergency price control act of 1942 as passed by congress the government cannot immediately enforce control in new areas colllns collins explained the act r requires 8 that the areas fi first rat be designated and that a 60 day period elapse after designation before rent control can be enforced by federal officials an OPA order issued last week designated as defense rental areas ea a that portion of 0 a state not heretofore hereto foie designated by the price administrator as part of any defense retal bretal area the order der was issued separately for each of the six rocky MouA mountain tain at states ates Col colorado oralo idaho new mexico utah montana and wyoming OPA previously had designated specific defense rental areas in each of the six states and areas have been brought under full federal control in all of the a tates states except Wo montana utina of tho the 22 previously designated defense rental areas in ili
