Show mrs mckinley morrill buried at junction sunday afternoon JUNCTION funeral funeral services were held in the junction jut petion ward chapel sunday afternoon of this week tor for lydia jolley day morrill 68 wife of state senator mckinley morrill mrs morrill died at the fanelly residence wednesday of last week after a lingering illness the chapel was tilled filled to cap acety with sorrowing friends and relatives rela t ivea and the loral floral offerings were e bea beautiful u ticul and profuse the opening song as rendered ly by the ward choir and the invocation IV a was offered by J L whittaker the first speaker 1 was M reed beebe who was tol fol aowad by a solo by eunice J burns of marksville marysvale Marys vale ville dr of richfield gave the sermon seri noll and a double duet selection was rendered under direction of al doe A talk was given ly by henry and bishop aj J W applegate offer offered ed remarks the closing song was by the choir and the benediction was pronounced by johnny luke burial was in the junction cemetery with the grave site being dedicated by M kermit anderson mrs morrill was born at angle a daughter of wm win H and mary A robinson naon and spent her early life there when she was 18 lif years of age she married to fred day of 0 circleville Cir cleville they made their home in Cir circleville cleville until after the death of mr air day labout about 24 years ago two daughters were born to them in the spring ot of 1924 she came to junction and took charge of the hotel tor for a short shor t time on january 1 1926 she married mr moil morrill ill and has since made iier home in junction she was active in the L D S church and civic affairs of the community having served as president tnt oi of the primary a counselor in the relief belief society a member of the state sunday school board and as vice president of the daughters of utah pioneers she Is survived by her husband two daughters mrs airs elvira day veater of fresno california and mrs helen morrill thompson hompson rr of junction two step sons shirl P corrll of the U 8 navy at mare island and max morrill morrall of junction and a stepdaughter gilter mrs gweneth morrill anderson of junction her mother mrs airs mary A jolley of angle angl e maisel calsel jolley angle and one sister mrs laura landon of detroit michigan and five grandchildren also survive |
