Show locals and personal news mrs barbara M adams spent last thursday and friday in salt lake city attending the first general relief S society conference to be held in f four our years don orton and gates burt started work recently on a new modern modem home tor for mr air and mrs delaine ev evans i ans the new home is located on second south street just west of main street and progress is is going forward forward rapidly on it I 1 mrs thales brown mrs marvin graft graff and mrs orland ward accompanied their husbands to salt lake yesterday when the latter went in for the convention convent ibn ibri postmaster ivan decker also accompanied mrs decker into the capitol city for the same occasion elvin eivin gurr has been up here from los angeles for several days visiting his parents mr and mrs W J gurr and his two young children who stay here with his parents mr and mrs walt cn their daughter vinky and son fred arrived here one day this week from washington where they have been residing for awhile we understand that they plan on staying here for some time their daughter I 1 norine I 1 orine has been here attending school since its opening in september mrs dora page of salt lake city was a visitor here with relatives for several days lask week mr and mrs S B wicker and mr and mrs russell duren of bountiful were visitors here briefly yesterday morning with mrs barbara adams who is a friend of mrs wickers barbara took them about the city and visited with many of our townsmen for a few hours they were on their way to new castle where mr wicker has a half section of land near the ranch which he plans to develop in a sort time lt paul warby husband of florian matheson warby of this city writes to her to say that he attended the funeral services for capt marsden durham in the hawaiian islands recently captain durham was accidentally killed in a fall there while sightseeing his brother wilby durham flew to the islands to attend the funeral lt warby sent florian a newspaper clipping giving details of the services eugene orton seaman first class left tuesday night for salt lake city and fort douglas where he was to report on wednesday morning but through some oversight his records had been misplaced or hanant reached there from san francisco and he was allol allowed ved to come back home for another week until they them are located |
