Show NEWS FROM THE elementary the children in our first firs grade are on a catter piller hunt they will make a collection for abse observation during the fall and hii winter there are thirty six children in the class reported from the first grada we have forty six boys and girls in the second grade this year we have such a large group that we had to change rooms with the first grade tuesday afternoon we went for a walk to gather leaves we are going to make a book of leaves larry skinner brought a frog to school thursday morning we are going to make a home for it we want to watch the frog hibernate reported by the 2nd and grade we have been writing t torries about ships and drawing pictures res we have been decorating the room with autumn pictures we have many plants and flowers in the i windows veon macfarlane third grade the fourth grade this year has thirty five students our teacher is miss bentley two new students have been entered in our room they are wilber coelho from california a and nd helen olsen from spring dale wilber has seven names which tubby wilber baldit burton junior john coelho this year we are going to study about the indians pioneers and the state of utah reporters from this class are eldon bentley joan bayles marilyn ward joyce guymon blanche renee adams and delmer delacr gurr there are thirty two of us in the fifth grade we have been making plans for our work this year we are reviewing our in multiplication tables and have been getting a back ground for our american history study for the year reported by amy lou adams and clair morris last saturday some of the child den in the sistr grade went down and picked peas for mr sam halterman they were paid one cent a pound and were given credit to eat at the lunch room tuesday and wednesday afternoon all of sixth grade children went down into the lunch room and shelled some of the peas they had picked when they left there were almost as many peas and pods on the floor as were in the pans the children also have taken up a coerce in health interesting discussions cus haxe taken place and the chi liden have learned many profitable things in health exported Ep R ported by marion decker val chorni L and eugene benson keith adams son of mr air a ani orlando adams and dorrn former er r re of this city but who now nov resi lesl ogden is visiting here wit with tives lives and friends for a few d |
