Show charles A welch dies at salt lake city home mrs rulon lyman was called to salt lake city sunday afternoon on account of the death of her father charles A welch mr welch 81 died at his home in salt lake city saturday at of a coron ayr occlusion mr welch was well known in parowan carowan having spent much time here with his daughter in the past few years he was a prominent livestock man and farmer and was among the early settlers of the big horn basin in 1940 he wrote a history of the basin and the people who settled there including many people who went from here to colonize his book has become well known to wyoming historians he was a patriarch in the big horn stake at the time of his death born in salt lake city october 4 1860 he was a son of T R G and harriet nash welch his first wife mrs mary hinckley welch whom he married on april 5 1883 died in 1935 on june 6 1939 he married abbie otto in salt lake city he served missions for the L D S church in the southern states the northeastern states and in england surviving mr welch are his widow three sons charles golden frederick arza and woodruff hinckley welch all of cowley four daughters mrs lloyd taggart of cody wyo mrs ray wilson of cowley mrs rulon lyman of parowan carowan Pa rowan utah and mrs ida gould of Br emerton wash two brothers robert H welch of salt lake city and joseph S welch of oakland cal a sister mrs isabelle butters of morgan 31 grandchildren and five great grandchild ren |
