Show TAXPAYER SHOWS UTAH IS CUTTING BONDED DEBT the december february issue of the utah taxpayer is just off the press this issue deals particularly with the trend of the bond burden of every taxpaying unit in the state during the past ten years it shows that utah is very favorably situated with regard to her bonded indebtedness it shows that during the past ten years both the state government and the counties are well on their way to becoming debt free it also shows that despite expenditure for capital outlay that the indebtedness of the school districts has been reduced by 22 per cent in the past decade with municipalities the situation is not quite so favorable during the he ten year period many new communities muni ties have been incorporate a to 10 develop their water supply and incidentally ci to take advantage of federal grants all in all it is pointed out that in the past 18 years the per capita debt in utah has been reduced from to while in the country as a whole the trend has been decidedly upward |
