Show funeral held thursday for oscar W hulet funeral service were held thursday afternoon atler atter noon at 2 in the summit ward chapel tor oscar willard hulet with benjamin R lawrence mr hulet passed away friday night in the iron county hospital after a long illness from rheumatism and other complications he was ja 69 years of age the services commenced with a song by the choir though deepening trials after which george R harwood of provo offered the opening prayer other musical numbers were songs by the choir 1 I need thee every hour and god be with you till we meet again speakers were sylvester jones of enterprise dr J W bergstrom and president wm win R palmer of cedar city and wilford day of par owan sentiments written by oscar J hulets school teacher friends frienda were read by winell dalley dailey the closing prayer was offered by john P dalley and at the cemetery the grave was dedicated by harold smith mr hulet has been a lifelong life long resident of utah having been born at st george on march 9 1871 a son of sylvanus C and catherine stoker hulet early dixie pioneers he moved to summit with his parents when but a child and has resided there since he married susannah jones of enoch in the st george temple june 15 1898 besides having been a prominent farmer and livestock man in lodth boath rn utah for many years mr hulet has served as bishop of the summit L D S ward as superintendent of sunday schools and has work ed in various other capacities in the ward and stake he is survived by hi his widow two dons ons oscar J and rex hulet of summit three daughters mrs ralph C adams mrs harold adams and mrs william B adams all of cedar city and five brothers and sisters sylvanus C hulet of peterson sylvester hulet of dayton idaho mrs robert S dalley dailey of 0 driggs idaho mrs sarah wimmer of parowan carowan and mrs melissa dalley dailey of joesph |
