Show COLT SHOW BRINGS OUT SOME GOOD individuals the colt show which was hurriedly arranged following the suggestion in a previous issue ot of the times and held this morning out at the rambouillet boull let barn brought together a lot ot of splendid colts though not nearly so ma many ny as would have been on the ground had the matter been thought ot of sooner four classes were echi exhibited baited mare colts and horse colts yearling fillies and yearling horses major jones was unable to be here to judge them but mr arthur ll 11 atner of blinders ville a horseman of wide practical experience selected the prize winners in commenting on the exhibit he stated that he had never seen a tiner finer lot of colts in the first class mare colts there were five entries first place going to R L fenton a colt and second to er nest ortons artons arthur petersen won first place in the horse colts class and frank adams second with only one other competitor the yearling lilley filley class with seven beven entries was the outstanding class ot of the exhibit don Pendle tons fiti il ley took first place and john john Tay Tayl lorai orsil second from three entries in the yearling horse colt class arthur pet 1 ersen won another first with ray stones of 0 paragonah Para gonah nall getting second for the special breeders bleeders bre eders prize of 0 i five dollars offered by R L fenton I 1 arthur petersons Peter sens yearling was set sel acted as the outstanding individual ot of the show 0 |
