Show Wallet Lifted Summit Park resident Shirley Hadley told officers her wallet was lifted from a shopping cart at Alpha-Beta Dec: 10. She said she laid the wallet in the cart while she shopped and noticed it missing at the check-out stand. The billfold contained $20 in cash plus checkbook arid credit cards'. ' . Ring Taken A diamond ring valued at $225 was stolen from Shelly Carroll's jewelry box Dec. 9. Carroll said the box was on a dresser at her 916 Woodside Ave. home when the theft occurred. DUr Arrest Ernest George Urban was arrested for DUI' Dec. 11 following an accident at Holiday Village Mall. Urban allegedly hit Harold Barnes' truck causing $350 in damage and whenofficers arrived the defendent's alleged condition prompted the arrest. Explosion Controlled Officers responded Dec. 12 to a report of an explosion at First Security Bank According to the police report a propane tank for a space heater blew up. Firefighters had quickly doused the flames as police arrived. Burglar Strikes A color television, cassette player and camera all valued at some $600 were reported stolen Dec. 9 from Shauna Ansted's Prospect St. residence. Ansted said she was out when the burglary occurred. , Grass Impounded A vehicle blocking 5th St. was impounded by the PCPD this week and upon an inspection of its contents a partially smoked marijuana cigarette was discovered. Purse Rifled A wallet and wrist watch were taken from Kathy Kahn's purse Dec 10. According to Kahn, the theft occurred either at Texas Red's on Main St. or at the Prospector Athletic Club. The watch was valued at $150 and Kahn's wallet contained $420 in cash. Vodka Vanishes , Two cases of Vodka valued at more than $100 were taken ' from a delivery vehicle parked at The Club on Main St. I Officers searched for three male suspects in a Toyota that was seen near the scene of the crime. Video Exasperation Bruce Lee hurled a chair at a video game at the End Run Tavern this week, smashing the glass front and considerably damaging the machine. Tavern manager Sean Conolly told otticers Lee left $20 as a down payment on the damage, which he plans to cover in full. |
