Show Ambulance Birth Aided By EMTs i Linda Redding had to be different. With an intent Jim White at the wheel of one of the fire district's three ambulances Nov. 30, Tara Lynn Redding was born near the bottom of Parley's Canyon after Linda "couldn't wait" to arrive at Holy Cross Hospital. "I can never do anything easily," laughed the 33-year-old Redding from her hospital room, after she and her daughter checked in in excellent shape. "It was a team effort," she said, with Dr. Bob Evers at the command and Emergency medical Technicians Suzanne Shellenberger and Mike Karnas assisting. "I couldn't have done it alone and it was certainly easier than doing it in a car," Redding said. While father Dennis Redding followed the ambulance, White piloted the vehicle through the worst snow storm thus far this season, over Parley's Summit and down into the mist and rain of the lower canyon. wJc "It was kind of neat after all the blood and guts trauma we p usually get," White said. " It is the second child for the Reddings, who live in Highland ixf Estates.
