Show Dog Draws Death Threats Karyn Winderman of 99 King Rd. told officers October 12 ! her dog's life had been threatened over the telephone. The dog is apparently a suspect in the recent death of a goat at Mid Mountain Lodge. Garden Plowed Up John Crandall who owns the Hat Store building at 354 Main St. reported a malicious act of vandalism October 18. Crandall told the police a suspect, believed to be a customer at The Black Pearl Private Club, drove a vehicle around his lawn and garden between the Hat Store and Black Pearl. Damage was set at $125. Motorcycle Vanishes On October 17 a Yamaha motorcycle owned by Robert Dituillo was taken from a residence at 1045 Woodside Ave. Dituilto offered the name of a suspect to investigating officers but that person claims no knowledge of the missing vehicle. Fight Nets Trio Night in Slammer A fight that erupted on Upper Main St.October 20 resulted in two men being hauled off to Coalville for disorderly conduct. A third man was booked into the County Jail for .public intoxication. Foul Play at Fawn Grove A representative of the Fawn Grove Homeowners Assoc. -advised authorities October 13 of the theft of two trash containers from the Deer Valley condominium complex. The trash cans were valued at $70 according to the police report. Briefcase Taken from Auto A briefcase of undetermined value was taken from John Worthen's automobile October 13. Worthen who lives in Sandy was parked at 2015 Butch Cassidy Ct. when the theft, occurred.' - ; " ' ' . : xi No Soaps this Week for Dixie Dixie Bishop told officers October 12 a television had been taken from the Soap Opera laundromat and cleaners in Holiday Village Mall. The value of the missing set has been established at $100. Cash Taken at Texas Red's A money bag containing $310 in cash has turned up missing at Texas Red's restaurant on Main Street. Officers responding to a call from Dan Kubisiak Oct. 17 found evidence the rear door had been forced to give entry to the; burglars. ' . ' ; ' Burglars Knock Over Dolly's Dolly's Book Store on Main Street was' knocked over the night of Oct. 1 1 and $645 was taken. The money was in a cash bag stashed in a desk drawer. The burglars apparently broke a window at the southeast corner of the building and entered the store. At first an employee reported the incident as vandalism but later the cash was found missing. . Corner Store Till Tapped $72 was taken from the nil at the Corner Store restaurant on the Resort Plaza Oct. 13. According to the police report the manager was in the back when an unknown customer opened the register and cleaned out the till. Recorder Ripped Off Bob Pingree, a counselor at Main Street's Prevention Center reported the theft of a tape recorder from his desk the. night of October 13. The recorder valued at $50 was apparently taken between 8 p.m. and noon the following day. Sweetwater Tire Theft Alice May Custinger told officers this week a spare tire and wheel was taken from the trunk of her car August 18. The thieves apparently pried open the trunk while the vehicle was parked at Sweetwater Condoshare.on Empire Av. The value of the tire was set at $50 and damage to the lock and trynk at $227. Broken Windows Reported $300 in damage was caused to equipment owned by Jensen Bros. Excavation October 6. The vandalism occurred in Deer Valley and mainly consisted of broken windows. |
