Show Park High Honor Roll Is Listed; Ulah Governor To Speak May 21 -PCHS- Park High has a new student. stu-dent. His name is Craig Peterson Peter-son and is in the seventh grade. Craig used to attend Clayton Junior High in Salt Lake. He is now living in Summit Park with his parents. Craig is a beginning skier and enjoys football. He likes the revolving schedule very much. John Lehmer. -PCHS- The results of the cheerleader cheer-leader elections were let out of the bag (If you'll pardon the expression) and the new cheerleaders are as follows: Junior Varsity: Valerie Pratt Maria Sweeten and Michelle Evans. Varsity: Gobby Forelke, Ann Byer, Jana Rae Martinez and Carey Dorka. Wendy MeCojnbT-Reporter, -PCHS- The doctor said, 'She is the first girl I ever heard of to break her leg while doing the splits." During preliminary cheerleader cheer-leader tryouts Helen Marcellen broke her upper thigh bone. Too much tension and pull broke the bone and muscles away from the leg socket. Helen said, "This is a very painful experience; I spend most of my time lying down or taking pain pills. Helen will probably be out of school for the rest of the school year and will be on crutches for two to six months. After this period the doctors will know whether to perform surgery. Helen is very enthusiastic about cheering and marching but now she will have to take it easy on her leg so it won't happen again.-Brenda Mac. -PCHS- Congratulations to Robin Johnson and Melaine Evans who are both engaged to be married. If you remember in the school play, Robin played the part of Eileen Sherwood, whom the entire male part of cast tried to win over. The lucky guy who finally won her wasn't even in the cast. Her fiance is Jesse Steele. Although Jesse lives in Salt Lake, he is very well known by the kids in Park City. Jesse has just returned home from the Army. Melaine Evans and Gordon Boyle are both attending UJ3.U. Melaine will graduate with the rest of her class in May. After the wedding they will be living in Salt Lake and attending the University of Utah. Both weddings are planned for this fall.-Brenda Mac. -PCHS-" Refreshments, yet?" The Bonanza Staff had a party last Friday at the completion of the Bonanza, during Mr. Darrell Milliner's sixth period Journalism Journal-ism class. : Special thanks went to Mr. Milliner, the advisor; Kerry Gee, Jim Santy, andTangee Sanchez, the photographers, and to Deanna Martinez, the co-editor. co-editor. Then Deanna presented the editor, Mary Jean Roach with a card dedicated to the Bonanza Editor and Co-editor. The card read: Now the rush is over, I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. break-down. I worked for it; I owe it to mysell; and nobody is going to deprive me of it. Mike McDonald. Mc-Donald. The Bonanza Staff was overloaded over-loaded this year; they just took too many pictures. So to get rid of their large overhead, they will be selling all the unused pictures. The 300 photographs will be going at 10? apiece, so don't wait until the last minute to get yours. Carey Dorka. -PCHS- Governor Calvin L. Rampton will deliver the Baccalaureate address to the seniors of Park City High School on Sunday evening, May 21. Governor Rampton is the most prominent person to ever speak at Park High. For this reason, it is hoped the public will attend in greater numbers than in previous years.
